There is nothing more important than our youth!
It sounds cliché to say "They are our future" but it's absolutely true! To enrich the lives of these students by introducing them to a kind of music they have never been exposed to and put them in an adult concert setting has several 'teachable moments'. We feel it is one of the most important things we do as a Community Concert association.

Golden Isles Live! is dedicated to promoting music appreciation among young people.
We are presenting performances to about 1,500 elementary, middle school, high school and home school students. Student Outreach enjoys working with other community music organizations to maximize the impact of having professional musicians in our area. We are proud to have partnered with GIYO, GIAHA and Island Concert.

How did Golden Isles Live! start "student outreach"?
The Carolyn Mattingly Memorial Fund was established in 1997, enabling BCCA to start this wonderful tradition. Carolyn Mattingly was a long time board member of BCCA and had the vision to offer free concerts to students, enriching their lives through musical performances. Annual concerts began in 2002 with the partnership with Nashville's "Live On Stage" where several of their performers offered student outreach concerts.
